The company or consortium that wins the bidding for a 20-year concession to operate and manage the Balboa Drydock must have a compatibility study approved by the Panama Canal Authority (ACP).
The requirement is established in Title XIV of the Constitution, the Basic Law and the Regulation of compatibility with the waters and banks of the Canal.
