To mitigate environmental damage generated by the construction of the second phase of the Specialized Container Terminal (ECT), the port of Manzanillo, Mexico, has started dredging canals and creating islands in the lagoon of the Valley of the Herons, a protected area located in the vicinity of the maritime area.

Global growth is an important factor for air cargo, which has been affected by it.

Global air traffic continued to rise in January, but demand for air freight fell 8% over last year, according to the latest figures from the International Air Transport Association (IATA).

However, Director General and CEO Tony Tyler said: “It appears that freight markets have stabilized, albeit at weak levels.”
