Six UMIP cadets board Evergreen ships

Six cadets from the Panama International Maritime University (UMIP) were selected by the Evergreen Group to perform their boarding time for the year 2012 on Evergreen vessels.

The Evergreen Group has offered opportunities to Panamanian cadets and officers since 1993.

More than 235 Panamanians have been trained by Evergreen. The shipping company operates one of the largest fleets in the world, with over 180 container ships.

The Panama Chamber of Shipping and the Port Authority of Melilla, Spain, signed a cooperation agreement to promote trade ties in the port industry in both countries. Colon Free Zone participates in migration conference

The Colon Free Zone had a stand at the Seventeenth Regional Conference on Migration providing information to foreigners about knowledge, advantages, benefits, location, method of operation, operating costs, rules and general provisions set forth in free trade agreements, which was headed by Moises Landires of the Promotion Department.

The Regional Conference on migration is a process to exchange ideas about the issue of immigration.
