Super yacht “Legend” joins the Panama Register

The super yacht “Legend” has just joined the fleet under Panamanian flag. This is the result of new business strategies for expansion of the Ship Register to enter non-traditional markets, implemented by the Panama Maritime Authority (AMP) that has received a very positive response.

The magnificent “Legend” with IMO number 7367835, has the following dimensions: 77.40 meters long and 13.64 meters wide, of 2,290 gross registered tons (GRT). She was originally built in 1973, but has been completely redesigned by naval architects and with the exterior by Diana Yacht Design and the interior by Thom Beerens and Jan Verkerk in the famous shipyards of Icon Yachts in Harlingen, the Netherlands.

She has a hull (a waterproof wrap ship) of stainless steel for optimum displacement, and is equipped with an ultra-modern stability system which reduces the effect of movement and results in a more enjoyable cruise experience ride.

It was built from the beginnings as an icebreaker, which allows travelers to reach the coldest and remotest regions of the planet, such as the North Pole, Greenland, the Norwegian fjords and the Arctic Circle, with total security.

The yacht has accommodation for 26 people in 13 suites, including a master suite, two suites, four double cabins and six double cabins (some convertible) and is also capable of carrying up to 30 crew.

“Legend” is equipped with a helipad, certified for commercial aviation and has a submarine for up to three people, which can dive to 300 meters. The “Legend” also carries jet skis and snowmobiles.
