Manuel Grimaldo appointed new manager of the CFZ

President Juan Carlos Varela on Monday appointed Manuel Grimaldo as the new General Manager of the Colon Free Zone (ZLC) to replace Surse Pierpoint, who resigned and will work on the development of the logistics component and the multimodal zone of the International Airport of Tocumen.

Among the main axes in which the current Deputy Minister of Internal Commerce and Industries, Manuel Grimaldo, will work will be the modernization of the ZLC Administration, as well as the attraction of new investments, development of Colón Puerto Libre; New markets and consolidate the ZLC as the region’s E-Commerce platform.

Grimaldo in declarations offered to RPC Radio said that his first actions are directed to meet with the members of the Association of Users of the Free Zone, as well as entrepreneurs who are not part of it, to know their situation.
