This specialized center, an effort of GS1 Panama, similar to GS1 in various countries where it has a presence, has become a potential contributor for the training of thousands of people who can make contact to receive free information first hand on the impact of the unique global standards on their way of life, and technology in the language of world trade and large competitive markets, in which Panama seeks to position itself.

Yamineth Samudio, senior consultant at GS1 Panama, explained that the site was built with the input of university students, who efficiently gathered all the data necessary to easily understand the benefits of these standards. “It is a living space, which allows its visitors to learn and to test how the standards and the GS1 System are applied in the different processes and industrial sectors, within the supply chain, in order to make all logistics processes more efficient, increase productivity and improve the quality of life of all consumers,” explained Samudio.

The GS1 Panama Knowledge Center uses the combination of technologies as well as audiovisual activities so that the user can interact with the space and directly experience the contribution of value that standardization offers, a tool that, more than a trend, has become a key in the growth and competitiveness of both micro and large companies around the world.

“Companies and organizations can count on the best tools, options and equipment to enhance the opportunities and competitive advantages in the market when requesting training in our Center,” said the consultant, after noting that interested parties can call 236-7907 to plan a visit.
