Now, ALOFT announced on January 18 that it is poised to transform the sector of hotels of high category and the tourism business.
Osvaldo Librizzi, president of Starwood Hotels & Resorts Latin America, said there is a strong showing of expansion for destinations and markets in Latin America, and in Panama the Aloft chain will make a noticeable difference by offering those who travel for business or pleasure a vibrant alternative for their stay in this tropical paradise of Panama.
With an investment of $50 million, and located opposite the Atlapa Convention Center, only 15 minutes from Tocumen International Airport and 10 minutes from the Financial Centre, the new hotel building of Aloft Panama SA has more than 312 rooms and 800 parking spaces and will be opened in December 2012.
Don Jorge Liakópulos, as vice president and Osvaldo Libritzi, an Argentine businessman, see in Panama a major tourist future, as well as in the government’s slogan that promises change and they are seeing this in all sectors and especially in tourism as a source of foreign currency, with the country maintaining employment services for the people of Panama who have a reputation of hospitality in Latin America.
