The Panama Maritime Authority (AMP), successfully participated in the province of Chiriqui where the II Megafair of Community Services, with a stand where they explained the details of the ongoing work of the governmental entity for the benefit of the country.
As part of the Megafair, President Ricardo Martinelli opened the Mangroves EcoPark with the governor of the province of Chiriqui, Aixa Santamaría, the administrator of the AMP, Roberto Linares, and some ministers of State.
The EcoPark, which covers an area of 25.8 hectares, has 50 parking spaces, an event space, bicycle paths, public toilets, trails, wetlands, mangroves, gazebos, sport courts, among its many attractions.
This project is being undertaken by the government through the National Council for Sustainable Development (CONADES) at an approximate cost of $612,987 and seeks to promote a space for family recreation in Chiriqui, taking into account environmental sustainability.
After the inauguration of the EcoPark officials toured the stands of the participating institutions including the AMP with the provincial coordinator, Digna Lizondro and officials from Puerto Pedregal, Puerto Armuelles and Charco Azul.
Visitors to the stand of the AMP received souvenirs, such as notebooks, folders, pens, card holders and caps.
