Flor de Maria Cañaveral Pedrero, director of the Port Authority of Manzanillo, Mexico, revealed that the figures for the end of 2012 are encouraging as they mobilized about two million containers.
“We have historical numbers. We closed last month with 1,470,000 containers, with average numbers very close to two million, a goal that we have set the port community.
“We expect to close on two million or very close to it, a historical number, and in volume of tons we have already moved more than 20 million tons,” she said.
She also announced that within the project is the startup of a new terminal in the port of Colima.
