Scanners tender created by Customs is questioned

There is no certainty of the conditions to be defined in the final contract

Logistic performance is suffering

Panama has a lot to learn about the logistics performance of Singapore, Rotterdam and Hong Kong, the three main clusters in the world, according to a detailed study by the firm Nathan Associetes Inc., prepared for the Panama Canal Authority.

“Import containers inspected will have to pay for scanning”

Not all import containers will have to pay the service fee for the use of a scanner, but only those that are inspected, said the director of the National Customs Authority, Virna Luque.

AEO will facilitate cargo movement

In three months the legal framework that implements the AEO (OAS) Customs system in Panama will be published, according to the deputy director of the National Customs Authority (ANA) Ricaurte Arrocha, who is in charge of the program.
