Cruise ships fear for insecurity

The General Director of the Port Authority (API) Manzanillo, Mexico, Flor de Maria Cañaveral Pedrero, said insecurity was a factor that led to the decline in cruise arrivals to that terminal.

“The issue of insecurity has affected us in some way, but we are taking several actions to emphasize that there are locations in which we are working in a coordinated way to welcome visitors through this pathway.”

She mentioned that one of the factors that have to do with the decline in this sector was the reconfiguration of routes, preferring those of Europe or Asia.
