FedEx and Farmazona unite in operation of Davis logistics park

International cargo airline, FedEx, and the Colon Free Zone company, Farmazona, have joined forces in establishing a logistics park in Colon.

The park is located in the former Fort Davis, which is now an area integrated with the Colon Free Zone.

Alexandre Cecolim, FedEx sales executive, said the alliance of these two great companies is part of the endless quest to meet the different needs of customers with join efforts and experiences from the new Colon Free Zone Processing Zone.

The company is established with 28,500 meters of land and has air-conditioned warehouses for storage of different types of products that require stable temperatures, whether chilled, dried or frozen.

The system or programmed warehouse management allows to have better control and inventory management for clients.

From this Processing Zone cargo can be shipped to any destination, whether by air, sea or land.

As the largest cargo airline in the world, FedEx offers comprehensive supply chain solutions through its alliance with Farmazona for local compliance.

Farmazona is the largest external logistics operator in Central America with two modern regional distribution centers which combine over 29,264 square meters of warehouse area with 400 employees to serve customers. Farmazona is ISO 9001 certified, and has served the pharmaceutical, medical device, high tech and automotive industries, among others, for over 54 years.

Customers will have access to trained staff on duty 24 hours a day via the Global Command and FedEx Supply Chain control equipment.
