Hanjin Shipping Company launched a new regular container service on April 28 from Asia to the Gulf of Mexico in conjunction with Cosco.

With this new service it will improve connections and operational coverage in the region.

Hanjin Shipping has nominated Agunsa as general agent in Panama and Venezuela. This new nomination confirms the good performance that the organization has been giving in Chile.

The new weekly service covers Busan, Shanghai (Waigaoqiao Terminal), Ningbo, Xiamen, Shenzhen – Yantian in Asia and crossing the Pacific to Colon, Panama (CCT) and then Houston, returning to Bussan via the Panama Canal. Additionally, the service will cover the Caribbean via transshipment in Colon (CCT).

The service will have eight ships with a nominal capacity of 4,000 TEUs, of which six will be operated by Cosco and two by Hanjin.
