New insurance coverage offered to Colon Free Zone

Jorge Barreiro Troitiño, General Manager of the company Nacional de Seguros, announced at a press conference that the company is offering coverage of business and personal assets in the event of a fire in the Colon Free Zone. Nacional de Seguros is launching a new fire insurance that has greater coverage and capacity. A single insurance policy will protect all contents in a fire.

The capacity acquired is mainly focused on the business of the country’s free zones and is now available. In addition to fire, this multimillion dollar capacity protects the property and contents for damage caused for various reasons, from an explosion or lightning strike, aircraft impact, impact of vehicles; earthquakes, light winds, hurricanes, storms, cyclones and tornadoes, floods, riots, looting and damage from other causes.

The new policy was presented to the Colon Free Zone Users’ Association and explained that these policies also cover other content including equipment, raw materials and goods being held in custody.
