Growing demand for commercial space

Specialty and department stores are demanding more space in shopping centers and malls in Panama City.

The vacancy rate for Class A commercial property fell 7.4% in the first half of 2013 to 4.8% in the second half, due to increased footage available in major shopping centers with many of those spaces already leased prior to being finalized, and reported a study by the real estate firm CBRE Panama.

US businessmen involved in security and surveillance equipment will visit Panama from September 22 to 26 to explore business opportunities with local firms.

The Commerce Department of the United States has organized this trade mission to Panama and Colombia for companies in the security sector.

Expocomer 2013 once again creates business exchanges

The event that showcases products from 35 different countries, Expocomer, returns this year to give Panamanian businessmen the opportunity to make alliances with foreign commercial partners from more than 1,000 companies.

This year Expocomer will take place in the ATLAPA Convention Center in Panama City from Wednesday 17 to Saturday April 20.

The fair is organized by the Panama Chamber of Commerce, Industry and Agriculture and has an exhibition space of 14,000 square meters.
